Fire & Smoke and Alarm Systems

Fire alarm and warning systems are the general name of systems that detect a possible fire situation at the very beginning and inform people of this situation with various warnings. Thanks to control panels, heat and flame detectors, fire alarm buttons and alarm systems, which are sensing elements, these systems are activated in the event of a fire and provide rapid intervention.

Fire detection and alarm systems are divided into two. These are conventional fire alarm systems and analog addressable alarm systems. The usage areas of these two systems differ from each other in terms of functionality and price.

Conventional fire alarm systems

  • These systems are preferred in small or medium-sized businesses.
  • Conventional fire alarm systems, which operate with the logic of regional detection called zones, detect the fire with the signals of the fire detection detectors connected to the zones and give warnings accordingly.
  • Although they do not have as flexible projecting possibilities as addressable systems, they have both affordable costs and easy installation.
  • The only negative side of the conventional fire alarm system is that it can be easily affected by heat and air changes, so the possibility of false alarms is high.

Analogue addressable fire alarm systems

  • These systems are systems that can detect fire as a point. Due to this feature, it is generally preferred in high and complex structures.
  • Each detector in analog addressable fire alarm systems is connected to the loop line. 128 addressable elements (may vary) can be connected to a loop line. Each sensor and cable coming out of the lines circulates and controls different sensor elements such as heat, smoke and temperature, respectively, and presents a continuous report on the environment they are in.
  • Since they are systems that can be integrated and developed into mechanical systems, they are heavily preferred in complex structures.
